Fall, Worn Quietly

Autumn is the season the hand comes back into the frame. Sleeves get longer, jewellery gets heavier, and the manicure stops competing with sandals and starts finishing coats. The fall drop leans into that: chocolate, cassis, burgundy and cream, with tortoiseshell doing the work a printed scarf usually does.

The palette

Warm and low. Chocolate brown reads almost black indoors and warms up in daylight. Cassis sits between plum and wine, and it is the shade we expect to carry the season. Cream is there to breathe between them. Nothing fluorescent, nothing frosted.

How to wear it

Pick one saturated shade and keep the rest of the hand quiet. A full set of Burgundy on a short almond is a complete look. If you want more, a tortoiseshell French tip adds pattern without adding colour. Two rings maximum, one warm metal.

The sets to look at

Matte Almond in Matte Chocolate and Matte Wine, Ember Coffin in Burgundy, and Wine Bloom if you want florals with the volume turned down. All in the Fall and Autumn collection, all twelve sizes in the box, all on in ten minutes.

Fall is the easiest season to wear a dark nail well. Start now and it will feel like yours by October.
