This policy explains what personal data Hands Down collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Who we share it with

We share the minimum data necessary with the categories of service provider listed below. Each is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for cross context behavioural advertising in exchange for money.

  • Our payment providers, who process the transaction and carry out fraud checks.
  • Our fulfilment partner and the carriers, who need your name, address and telephone number to deliver.
  • Our email marketing platform, where you have consented to receive marketing.
  • Our analytics and advertising providers, subject to your cookie choices.
  • Professional advisers and the authorities, where we are required to do so by law.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers, including our fulfilment partner, operate outside the United States. Where personal data is transferred internationally we require appropriate contractual safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where applicable, so that your data continues to be protected.

  • Deletion. Ask us to delete your data, subject to our legal record keeping obligations.
  • Portability. Receive your data in a structured, machine readable format.
  • Objection and restriction. Object to processing based on legitimate interest, or ask us to restrict processing while a request is examined.
  • Withdraw consent. Unsubscribe from marketing at any time, using the link in any email or by writing to us. This does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

California residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, California residents additionally have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under sixteen.

To exercise any right, email hello@handsdownbeauty.com with the subject line PRIVACY REQUEST. We may need to verify your identity, normally by confirming details of a recent order. An authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authorisation.

Cookies are small files placed on your device. We use the categories below. You can accept, refuse or change your choices at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings. Refusing non essential cookies does not prevent you from browsing or ordering.

Our website is not directed at children under thirteen and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The date at the top of this document indicates the last revision. Material changes will be signalled on the website.
